Bice's Regional Delegation for Asia works in Cambodia, India and Nepal to promote the dignity and rights of children. Its main areas of work are:
- Child sexual abuse and exploitation
- Early childhood care and development
- Children affected by armed conflict
It supports local partners in the field to reinforce the capacities of individuals and communities to find solutions to protect their children. Resilience, the capacity for children, adults and communities to draw upon inner resources to react in creative ways to difficult situations, is seen as a critical component to every programme. All interventions are based on strengthening the role of the community, which is involved at every stage of planning and implementation. Bice believes that this is the only way to ensure genuine ownership of the projects by the people, and result in long term sustainability.
