Bice's delegation in Asia organises visits to its projects to support the partners in evaluating and reporting its progress in achieving the agreed objectives and to provide an opportunity for the community to also evaluate what has been achieved. The evaluation helps identify new opportunities and challenges and construct new strategies for better development.
Bice maintains that positive development will only come from within the community; it must therefore be the role of everyone to respect the capacity of the community in its development.
At the end recommendations of potential action are given, which must be viewed as suggestions, not as additional hurdles to be crossed, or objectives to be met.
Bice Asia supports local initiatives, projects and programmes in partnership with local partners, based on an agreed philosophy and set of objectives. Bice's partner in Nepal, Aawaaj, has 3 community-based projects:
- Breaking the silence against child sexual abuse
- Children affected by the conflict in Nepal
- Early Childhood Care and Development
