World Appeal for Childhood, Geneva, 2009.
The adoption of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child twenty years ago has led to considerable progress. Yet worrying setbacks and serious violations of children's rights still happen in many parts of the world, and the crisis spreading globally does not, unfortunately, improve the situation.
It is therefore urgent to launch a new mobilization for childhood on a global scale. For this purpose, and on Bice's initative, individuals and organizations around the world launch a World Appeal to a new mobilization for Childhood open to all signatures.
This Appeal will be officially launched on 4 June at the Palace of Nations in Geneva.

The Regional Delegation for Asia

Bice's Regional Delegation for Asia coordinates projects and programmes in the field by working with local partners in Cambodia, India and Nepal to promote the dignity and rights of children in the unconditional respect of them as persons, within their families, their cultures, the communities to which they belong and their religious beliefs. It also acts as a platform of exchange and reflection between its different members. Its lines of actions are prevention and recovery from sexual abuse and exploitation, early childhood care and development and protection of children affected by armed conflict.
